Weather Systems

Weather satellites take a picture of the same hemisphere every ten minutes. Stitched together, those pictures become the most watched films on Earth: a tropical wave leaving Africa and tightening into a hurricane, a typhoon's eye over the western Pacific, the Arctic ice pack shrinking toward its September minimum.
